At present, Bhutan has two Airlines; Drukair – Royal Bhutan Airlines (Government owned) and Privately operated (Bhutan Airlines). These two Carriers operate to various International and Domestic destinations. There are two ways of getting into Bhutan, by Air,and by Road.For those entering by air have only one entrance, Paro International Airport. It is located at Paro, one of the western districts of Bhutan, 65 KMs East of Capital, Thimphu.For those entering by road has two main entrance point; Phuentsholing at Southwest bordering with Indian State of West Bengal and Samdrup Jongkhar at Southeast bordering with the IndianState of Assam. The nearest Airport to Phuentsholing is Bagdogra, India (4.5 Hours drive) and for Samdrup Jongkhar is Guwahati, India (3 Hours drive).The Royal Bhutan Helicopter Services Limited also offers Domestic Flights.
